Why Princess Kate and sister Pippa Middleton have double reason to celebrate this week

It’s an important week for both the Wales and Matthews families, with several reasons to celebrate. There’s a possibility of a gathering between the Princess of Wales and her sister Pippa Middleton.

This Sunday marks the fifth birthday of Kate’s nephew, Arthur, who is the eldest child of Pippa and her husband James Matthews. It wouldn’t be surprising if Kate, along with Prince William and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, got together with Pippa and her family to commemorate Arthur’s special day in person.

Furthermore, the school holiday for George, Charlotte, and Louis begins on Friday as Lambrook has its two-week October half-term break. Hosting a family birthday party would be a delightful way to commence their time off from school.

Kate and Pippa, who have a mere 21-month age difference, maintain an exceptionally close bond, which has endured even after the royal family’s departure from London. During their time in Kensington Palace, William and Kate were once neighbors with Pippa and James, who owned a substantial £22.5 million residence in Chelsea, west London.

Last summer, when the royals relocated to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, Pippa and James also made a similar move, acquiring a countryside estate in Berkshire worth £15 million. These two families now reside approximately 40 minutes apart, and due to the seclusion provided by their rural properties, it is much simpler for them to convene without the intrusion of the public eye.

Pippa resides in close proximity to her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, who dwell in their £5 million residence known as Bucklebury Manor. It is reported that her desire to be nearer to her family influenced her decision to relocate to Berkshire.

In the meantime, James Middleton and his wife Alizee Thevenet, who are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child at any moment, reside on a £1.25 million farm, also located in Berkshire.

A significant family gathering is a possibility for Arthur’s fifth birthday. Pippa and James welcomed their eldest child into the world on October 15, 2018, at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London, which happens to be the same hospital where Kate gave birth to her own three children.

Arthur’s complete name is Arthur Michael William Matthews; the name Michael is a tribute to both Pippa’s father and James Matthews’ late brother, Michael, who tragically passed away while climbing Mount Everest in 1999 at the age of 22.

Pippa and James have since added two daughters to their family – Grace Elizabeth Jane, who is currently two and a half years old, and Rose Louise Victoria, who is one year old.

The mother of three has previously discussed her strong sisterly connection with Kate, sharing with NBC in 2014: “I mean, obviously she has taken on pressures and responsibilities. But we continue to spend a lot of time together as a family. We have a very typical, close sisterly relationship. We maintain a strong bond, support each other, and seek each other’s opinions.”
