The Duchess of Edinburgh visits Princess Kate’s salon days before Coronation

With King Charles’ Coronation just one week away, preparations are in full swing. Major attendees are busy preparing for the big day, including the Duchess of Edinburgh, who is the King’s sister-in-law.

Recently, photos obtained by the Mirror showed the Duchess leaving the Robert Ward salon in Chelsea, a favorite of the late Princess of Wales. She appeared to have her hair refreshed and colored, carrying a bag of hair products and her handbag as she left. She opted for a low-key look in a matching beige ensemble.

Although it remains unknown what the Duchess of Edinburgh will wear at the coronation, royal fashion expert Michael Talboys exclusively told HELLO! that he expects royal women to follow tradition and wear their historic ceremonial robes. “The royal ladies will all be in royal attire. If they’re a Duchess, they’ll be in a Duchess outfit,” he explained. Talboys cited Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, where all the royal ladies wore full attire, including crowns and robes. The Duchess of Edinburgh may wear a Duchess outfit, and all royal ladies are expected to wear a formal hat at Westminster Abbey.

The Duchess of Edinburgh is known for her impeccable style and may choose one of her go-to labels, such as Suzannah, Victoria Beckham, or Emilia Wickstead. Meanwhile, if tiaras and coronets aren’t the order of the day, a formal hat may be the way to go.

Earlier this week, the royal mum-of-two looked stunning as she paid a visit to the Women’s Institute in Bagshot for afternoon tea at Windlesham Golf Club in Surrey. She channelled chic simplicity in a rust-toned silk shirt by Vince featuring a sleek collarless design. The lustrous piece was aptly paired with some striking teal trousers by Alberta Ferretti that boasted a crisp, tailored effect. Duchess Sophie tied the two vibrant garments together by slipping into Penelope Chilver’s ‘Tango Suede Shoes’ in contrasting shades of tan and ultraviolet.

The royal completed her polished aesthetic by styling her hair back into a sleek updo and showcasing a natural beauty blend, allowing her tonal attire to take centre stage. A pair of chunky silver hoops added a youthful touch to the seasonal look.

With the Coronation just a week away, it’s an exciting time for the royal family and their followers. All eyes will be on the royals, especially the Duchess of Edinburgh, to see what they wear on the big day. With her impeccable style, the Duchess is sure to turn heads and impress onlookers as she attends this momentous occasion.
