The Duchess of Edinburgh paid a visit to the Brooklands Museum located in Weybridge, Surrey. During her visit, she had the opportunity to interact with students ranging in age from 11 to 18 who were taking part in the Brooklands Innovation Academy 2023 event. This event, which is being held for the second time this year, has the primary objective of facilitating connections between young individuals and prominent businesses within the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The Brooklands Innovation Academy 2023 event is a component of the National Science Summer School program, which was established by Professor Brian Cox, Lord Andrew Mawson OBE, and Well North Enterprises. The Brooklands Museum, situated on a section of the former Brooklands motor-racing track, serves as the venue for this event and is dedicated to showcasing the history of motoring and aviation.
