Queen Margrethe of Denmark was present on October 5, 2023, for the inauguration of the “The Queen Sets the Scene for Ehrengard” exhibition at the Karen Blixen Museum (Rungstedlund) in Copenhagen. The exhibition features the Queen’s costume designs, a curated collection of costumes, and forty-one decoupages. These items are showcased alongside excerpts from “Ehrengard,” a work published in 1963 shortly after Karen Blixen’s passing.
“Ehrengard: The Art of Seduction” is a Danish feature film available on Netflix, directed by Bille August. This movie is an adaptation of Karen Blixen’s book “Ehrengard,” with the screenplay crafted by Anders August. Karen Blixen-Finecke, known as Baroness and a prominent Danish poet, author, and storyteller, is internationally acclaimed. Notably, Queen Margrethe has taken on the role of designing the costumes and sets for this film.
