King Felipe and Queen Letizia were present on October 5, 2023, at the Alhambra in Granada, a city in southern Spain, for the 3rd gathering of the European Political Community (EPC). This event saw the participation of delegates from 47 nations, Switzerland included, as well as representatives from European Union institutions.
The King and Queen extended their greetings to the Heads of State and Government who were in attendance at the European Political Community Summit. Later in the evening, the royal couple hosted a dinner as part of Spain’s presidency of the European Union Council.
Spain is assuming the presidency of the European Union Council for the fifth occasion, serving during the latter half of 2023, from July 1st to December 31st.
