Queen Silvia of Sweden attended the 2023 World’s Children’s Prize ceremony

Queen Silvia of Sweden participated in the “World’s Children’s Prize 2023” award ceremony held at Gripsholm Castle in Mariefred on October 4, 2023. Each year, the Child Jury of the World’s Children’s Prize selects three Child Rights Heroes from a pool of nominated candidates. These heroes can be individuals or organizations that have consistently and admirably worked for the well-being of children, even in challenging circumstances, over an extended period.

The World’s Children’s Prize (WCP) program has received support from notable figures, including Queen Silvia, Malala Yousafzai, the late Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Graça Machel, Xanana Gusmão, as well as former Swedish Prime Ministers and Ministers responsible for children.
