The King and Queen Consort of the United Kingdom have been on a state visit to Germany this week. Royal tours require significant planning, particularly when it comes to fashion.

During the state banquet on Wednesday night, Camilla wore a stunning Bruce Oldfield gown with the Greville Boucheron Honeycomb tiara and the City of London Fringe necklace.

The couple arrived at Schloss Bellevue, where they were welcomed by German officials.

On the second day of their tour, the Queen Consort wore a diamond and yellow gold Cosmos brooch from her Van Cleef & Arpels collection, which she pinned to her chocolate brown tailored coat.

This brooch has a sweet connection to the Prince and Princess of Wales, as Camilla also owns a matching brooch in white gold, which she wore at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal wedding in 2011.

The Queen Consort also wore the brooches at a Buckingham Palace garden party after her marriage to Prince Charles in 2005.

The King and Queen Consort are scheduled to visit Hamburg on the last day of their state visit.

They will be joined by the German President and his wife, and will visit the St Nikolai Memorial, the remains of a church that was destroyed during the Second World War.

Charles will pay his respects at the memorial to the Kindertransporte, which saved the lives of over 10,000 Jewish children from Nazism and gave them safe passage to new lives in Britain, 85 years ago.

During his speech to the Bundestag on Thursday, Charles declared that they would stand in solidarity with the people of Germany in solemn remembrance.
