The Princess of Wales participated in a Rugby League Inclusivity Day on October 5, 2023, at the Allam Sport Centre. This event was organized by the Rugby Football League, Hull FC, and the University of Hull. During the day, Her Royal Highness engaged in a training session alongside members of the England Wheelchair Rugby League squad, who were World-Cup winners. It is noteworthy that The Princess of Wales serves as the patron of the Rugby Football League.
At present, Wheelchair Rugby League stands as the most inclusive variant within Rugby League, allowing people of all genders and abilities to participate together. The Princess has been an avid rugby enthusiast since her youth, and just last month, she attended an England Rugby World Cup match in Marseille.
