Princess Kate’s back-to-school shopping error is so relatable for parents

The offspring of the Prince and Princess of Wales are gearing up to resume their studies at Lambrook school in the upcoming weeks. Much like numerous parents nationwide, Prince William and Kate will undoubtedly be checking off items from the essential back-to-school list for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The checklist for school supplies for kids can encompass various items, ranging from new writing materials to pristine school footwear. In 2018, Kate encountered a mishap while shopping for George and Charlotte’s school necessities, a relatable experience for many parents. A reliable source shared with HELLO! at that time that the Princess took her older kids to purchase school shoes at Peter Jones in London before the start of the new school term.

During that period, George attended Thomas’s Battersea School, while Charlotte was enrolled at Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington. However, Kate inadvertently forgot a crucial item when acquiring her children’s new shoes – socks! George and Charlotte, donning summer sandals, had to borrow socks from the store in order to properly try on their new school footwear – a scenario most of us can understand.

In the preceding year, George, Charlotte, and Louis changed schools following their move to Windsor. Lambrook is a preparatory school in Berkshire catering to boys and girls aged three to thirteen. The Church of England school accommodates 615 students, and according to the Good Schools Guide, day fees for Lambrook range from £15,498 to £24,714 per annum, with boarding fees between £28,452 and £30,399 per annum.

The educational program encompasses a diverse array of subjects, spanning English, Mathematics, French, Science, Latin, Greek, History, Geography, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Art, Design & Technology, Drama, Music, Religious Studies (RS), Physical Education (PE), Swimming, and Games.

Moreover, the institution boasts an expansive 52-acre expanse of Berkshire countryside, housing amenities such as a nine-hole golf course, a swimming pool, and even animals like bees, chickens, and pigs that the students can care for.

In September of the previous year, William and Kate escorted George, Charlotte, and Louis to Lambrook for their orientation day. The five-member family arrived at the school holding hands, with all three youngsters donning their summer uniforms.

In the upcoming month, as they resume their studies, George will enter Year Six, while Charlotte and Louis will enter Year Four and Year One respectively.

At present, the members of the Wales family are staying at their residence in Norfolk, known as Anmer Hall, where they observed the Women’s World Cup final this past Sunday.

Anticipatedly, they will unite with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle in Scotland during the concluding weeks of their summer vacation.
