On the occasion of her 22nd birthday, Princess Elisabeth of Belgium expressed her affinity for Belgian fashion through a series of new portraits. Her attire comprised a black semi-translucent adorned blouse crafted by the eminent Belgian fashion virtuoso, Dries Van Noten.
Elisabeth adroitly paired this beaded silk top with high-waisted trousers, demonstrating a judicious fashion sense. Her choice of accessories remained minimalistic, with a pair of elegant silver drop earrings serving as tasteful punctuation.
Her lustrous blonde tresses cascaded in gentle undulations, and her visage was adorned with a skillful application of smoky eye makeup and a deft sweep of eyeliner.
This pivotal moment in the princess’s life transpires as she embarks upon the concluding leg of her academic journey. She initiated her scholarly pursuit in the realms of history and politics at Lincoln College, University of Oxford, in the October of 2021, with the promise of her course’s culmination in the spring of 2024.
Before commencing her academic endeavor, Princess Elisabeth had undergone a rigorous one-year military training program. Additionally, over the past two years, she partook in the Royal Military Academy’s annual three-week summer encampments. In recognition of her dedication and commitment, she recently undertook the officers’ oath, securing the esteemed rank of second lieutenant.
Her regal presence was notable at the 18th birthday celebration of Prince Christian of Denmark in Copenhagen on the 15th of October. At this grand affair, she graced the gathering in an opulent, champagne-hued strapless gown fashioned by the renowned Belgian couturier, Natan. Adorning her coiffure was the resplendent Wolfers Tiara, an heirloom once possessed by her late great-aunt, Queen Fabiola.
The gala witnessed her attendance alongside Princess Catharina-Amalia of The Netherlands, both sharing an affinity for the throne they are destined to ascend. Seated beside Elisabeth was none other than Count Felix, the progeny of Prince Joachim and his former spouse, Alexandra, Countess of Frederiksborg.
Princess Elisabeth is also blessed with the company of her younger siblings – Prince Gabriel, aged 20, Prince Emmanuel, aged 18, and Princess Eleonore, aged 15.
On the 25th of October in the year 2001, Princess Elisabeth, bearing the title of Duchess of Brabant, came into the world at the Erasmus Hospital in Brussels. Her destiny was firmly inscribed as heir to the Belgian throne upon the ascension of her father, King Philippe, to the throne in July 2013, following the abdication of King Albert II.
