Easter Sunday is an important date for royal watchers, and this year was no different as the royal family stepped out in force to attend the Easter church service. The service is a traditional event for the family, and it provides an opportunity for them to come together in public.
King Charles and Queen Camilla led the royal entourage that included pregnant Princess Eugenie, the Tindalls, Princess Anne, and the new Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The Prince and Princess of Wales were also in attendance, along with their three children.
Prince Louis, at four years old, made his Easter service debut, surprising onlookers as he is younger than his siblings were when they made theirs. His parents, William and Kate, have endeavored to give their children as normal a childhood as possible. However, with increased interest in the royal family ahead of the King's coronation next month, their decision to bring Louis along to the Easter service was perhaps a small step to help him get used to being in the spotlight ahead of the big event on 6 May.
Prince Louis looked charming in a cobalt blue outfit, twinning with his mother. He looked bashful in knee-high blue socks, smart shorts, a checkered shirt and tie, and smart navy blazer. Many royal fans couldn't help but notice Louis' similarities to his grandfather, Michael Middleton. “Louis looks so much like Kate’s dad,” wrote one fan, as another agreed: “Louis looks like Michael Middleton's double!” “Prince Louis looks just like his grandfather, Michael Middleton!” chimed in a third, as a fourth echoed: “My goodness, he really is a mini Michael Middleton.”
The Tindalls also brought their daughter Lena, four, but left their son Lucas at home. The couple's decision to bring Lena was unexpected, but it was a joy to see her in attendance.
Overall, the Easter church service was a heartwarming event for royal fans. It was lovely to see the royal family come together and celebrate the occasion. Prince Louis' Easter debut was particularly delightful, and fans can't wait to see more of the adorable prince as he grows up. With the King's coronation fast approaching, there will undoubtedly be more opportunities for Louis to step into the limelight, and fans can't wait to see what the future holds for this charming young prince.
