Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark recently visited India on an official trip, during which they attended a variety of events and meetings aimed at promoting Danish-Indian relations.

One of the key events attended by the royal couple was the launch of the Danish business program named “Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress”. The program aims to promote sustainable development in India, and the Crown Prince gave an opening speech at the event. The Crown Princess also attended signing ceremonies between Danish and Indian companies, further strengthening ties between the two nations.
In addition to attending business events, Crown Princess Mary also visited the hospital All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi as part of her work with The Maternity Foundation. The visit focused on gaining insight into the work of the hospital and The Maternity Foundation in India, with a special focus on the situation of the most vulnerable Indian women.

Meanwhile, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were received by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at the presidential palace Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. After a courtesy meeting, President Murmu gave the royal couple a tour of the presidential palace garden Amrit Udyan, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of India.
The visit by the Danish royals was seen as an important step in promoting trade and cultural ties between Denmark and India. With a focus on sustainable development and improving the lives of vulnerable women, the visit highlighted the shared values of the two nations and the potential for closer cooperation in the future.
