On the 31st of October in the year 2023, King Harald and Queen Sonja graciously hosted a luncheon in honor of the Nordic Council within the opulent confines of the Royal Palace in Oslo. In attendance were Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, adding their regal presence to the distinguished gathering. The forthcoming 75th Session of the Nordic Council is slated to convene at the hallowed chambers of the Norwegian parliament in the heart of Oslo.
The Nordic Council holds the esteemed status of being the official institution dedicated to formal inter-parliamentary collaboration. Established in the year 1952, it boasts a membership roster of 87 individuals hailing from the nations of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, as well as the territories of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.
