At the request of The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, The Duchess of Edinburgh is currently traveling to Ethiopia. The visit is made to assist the international eyecare charity Orbis in its transformative work and to take part in a number of activities planned for World Sight Day on October 12
The Duchess of Edinburgh went to the Addis Ababa headquarters of Ethiopian Airlines on October 9. She was present at the Ethiopian Aviation University’s 50th anniversary celebration of Ethiopian Airlines’ UK service.
