Next week, Princess Eugenie will commemorate two significant events. On Thursday, October 12th, she and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary. They exchanged vows in a fall-themed wedding ceremony held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle back in 2018. On her special day, Eugenie wore a stunning V-neck embroidered gown crafted by British fashion designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos. Additionally, her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, graciously lent her the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik tiara. Traditionally, the Princess observes her anniversary on her personal Instagram account, and last year, she shared an unpublished photograph of her husband assisting her with her dress as they departed from the car. She also posted a picture of the couple sharing a kiss in their royal wedding carriage, with the caption, “Happy Anniversary my Jack. 4 years and counting.”
Following their wedding, Eugenie and Jack welcomed two sons into their family, August and Ernest, who were born in February 2021 and May 2023, respectively.
In addition to her anniversary, Princess Eugenie has another special occasion to mark: her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, will be celebrating her 64th birthday on Sunday, October 15th. The Duchess shares a remarkably close relationship with both Eugenie and her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice.
During HELLO!’s Inspiration Awards in 2021, Sarah expressed her admiration for her daughters, stating, “My children have become outstanding mothers. They were wonderful children, and now they’re remarkable mothers. It’s quite extraordinary, having these two exceptional grandchildren all in the same year.”
In addition to her grandsons August and Ernest, Sarah is also a grandmother to Sienna, the daughter of Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who recently celebrated her second birthday.
Eugenie, Jack, and their children divide their residence between Ivy Cottage located in Kensington Palace, London, and Portugal.
Recently, the couple had a reunion with Eugenie’s cousin, Prince Harry, and Meghan, his wife, at their residence in Portugal. This gathering occurred after the Sussexes attended the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Despite Prince Harry’s complicated relationship with his father, King Charles, and his older brother, Prince William, he has maintained a close bond with Eugenie.
