The royal family’s strong genetic traits have led to striking resemblances between different generations. In a 2020 photograph, Princess Charlotte’s resemblance to the late Queen Elizabeth II and Lady Sarah Chatto as children caught the attention of the Prince of Wales. Similarly, an uncovered picture from Christmas Day in 1990 shows that Prince William bore an uncanny likeness to his eldest son, Prince George, when he was eight years old. In the photo, Prince William is seen walking to church with his aunt, the Princess Royal, dressed in a checked jacket, grey trousers, a white shirt, and a navy tie. His sandy-colored hair and shy smile make him look nearly identical to George.
Earlier this month, William and Kate resumed their royal duties after spending the school summer holidays in Norfolk with their children: George, aged ten, Charlotte, aged eight, and Louis, aged five. Prince William conducted a two-day visit to New York on Monday and Tuesday, supporting his Earthshot Prize initiative. During the visit, he made a promise to a royal fan that he would bring his wife and children to New York in the future. Meanwhile, Kate visited Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton, following her recent appointment by King Charles as Commodore-in-Chief, Fleet Air Arm (FAA). On Tuesday, the Princess also deviated from royal protocol by commending the valuable work of the youth intervention charity Streets of Growth in central London, referring to it as “really precious.”
At the start of the month, George, Charlotte, and Louis resumed their studies at Lambrook School, concluding their summer break. George and Charlotte had previously been students at Thomas’s Battersea School, while Louis attended Willcocks Nursery School when the Wales family resided in London. The three children began their education at Lambrook in September 2022, coinciding with their family’s relocation to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
Currently, George is attending Year 6, while Charlotte is in Year 4, and Louis is in Year 1. Looking ahead, the future monarch, George, will face a significant choice in the near future. It is anticipated that after completing his preparatory education at Lambrook, he will need to decide on a secondary school when he reaches the age of 13.
