On Thursday, the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie were seen leaving the hospital with their new baby boy, marking the first time the family-of-four has been pictured together. Their eldest son, Prince Charles, who will turn three in May, was seen affectionately stroking his four-day-old baby brother’s head in photos published by Radio Television Luxembourg. Princess Stephanie, who was glowing in a white jacket, pink blouse, and navy trousers, carried their newborn son, Prince François, in her arms, while Prince Guillaume guided Charles to the waiting car.

Following the birth of their second son on Monday, Prince Guillaume gave his first interview, and on Wednesday, the couple shared the first precious images of their son. One black and white photo shows Stephanie kissing her newborn on the head as her proud husband Guillaume looks on. Other photos show Prince François dressed in a white babygrow with striped bib detailing and looking sweetly at the camera.

According to a statement released by the Grand Ducal court on Monday, Prince François weighs 3.575 kg (7lbs 8 oz) and measures 53cm. He will bear the first names of François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume and is third in line to the Luxembourg throne after his big brother. Prince Guillaume has been heir since his father Grand Duke Henri’s accession in 2000. The Heir Couple, as well as Prince Charles, are eager to introduce Prince François to the world, and Princess Stephanie and the baby are reported to be doing well.
