Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, along with their twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, participated in the 2nd Smile Day to show their backing for the organization known as Les Smileys Monaco. At the event held on the Place d’Armes in Monaco, over a dozen volunteers operated a booth accessible to all, offering a variety of enjoyable and instructive activities.
Les Smileys Monaco was founded by Joëlle and her spouse Christian. This organization supplies toys, known as Smileys, to children’s health and safety services. These services include the pediatrics department of The Princess-Grace Hospital, The Medico-psychological Center, as well as the Public Security and the Firefighters of Monaco.
These teddy bears serve the purpose of enabling individuals who have experienced physical and/or sexual violence to express themselves openly when providing testimony to the police, aiming to alleviate their fears. The event held this weekend provided an opportunity for this relatively young but already well-established organization to increase its visibility among a wider audience and to gather funds for its upcoming initiatives.
