Mike and Zara Tindall experienced a heartwarming reunion with some dear friends during a delightful evening together this past weekend.
The former rugby luminary, aged 45, shared a monochromatic snapshot of himself and his spouse on his Instagram Stories.
Donned in a collared cardigan, Mike exuded warmth, while Zara sported a blazer and blouse combination.
Joining the couple were Mike’s former England compatriot, Iain Balshaw, and his wife Kate.
Both Mike and Iain played pivotal roles in the England squad that clinched the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
Iain, acting as Mike’s best man, stood by his side on the day of his nuptials to Zara, the daughter of Princess Anne, at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh in July 2011.
The best man, hailing from Blackburn, displayed signs of bruising around his eye the day after reportedly enduring a moped mishap in France a week preceding the royal wedding.
In contrast, Zara’s closest confidante and maternity nurse, Dolly Maude, assumed the role of her maid of honor.
Mike and Zara, proud parents to Mia, nine, Lena, five, and two-year-old Lucas, commemorated their 12th wedding anniversary in July.
Despite bidding adieu to professional rugby in 2014, Mike continues to contribute to his local team, Minchinhampton RFC in Gloucestershire.
His involvement extends to various charitable endeavors, where he actively supports causes such as Cure Parkinson’s, Rugby for Heroes, and The Matt Hampson Foundation.
Additionally, he co-hosts The Good, The Bad & The Rugby podcast alongside Alex Payne and James Haskell.
During a special podcast episode in September featuring Princess Anne, the Prince, and Princess of Wales, rugby love and humorous anecdotes were shared.
Engaging Kate in conversation about her competitive nature, Mike playfully disclosed witnessing her prowess in beer pong.
“Where did your…? I’m not going to say you’re uber competitive… (but) I’ve seen her play beer pong.”
In response, Kate humorously denied any competitiveness on her part.
Zara, an accomplished equestrian with a silver medal from the London 2012 Olympics as part of Team GB’s eventing team, also serves as a director at Cheltenham racecourse.
Her elegant attire for a recent race day included a petrol blue coat and a Fedora-style hat, adding a touch of beauty to the event.
