Fans took to the comments section to express their delight at the couple’s surprise visit. One fan wrote, “Wow, how cool. Surreal, actually. Especially so close to the Coronation,” while another wrote, “The royals are so great. How cool is that? Just out as normal people visiting a restaurant.”

Charles and Camilla are thought to be taking a break in Balmoral before their grand coronation day on May 6th. Although the royal family has numerous properties across the UK, Scotland appears to hold a special place in their hearts.

The coronation ceremony promises to be a grand event, with Prince George, Charles’s eldest grandson, taking on a prominent role as one of the four Pages of Honour to the King. George, who is second-in-line to the throne, will be joined by the children of family friends, Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, Nicholas Barclay, 13, and Ralph Tollemache, 12.

Meanwhile, the Queen’s Pages of Honour will be her grandsons Gus and Louis Lopes, 13, and Freddy Parker Bowles, 13, and her great-nephew Arthur Elliot, ten.

As the world eagerly awaits the coronation of King Charles III, the couple’s surprise visit to the Fish Shop in Ballater, Aberdeenshire, was a delightful reminder of their down-to-earth nature and the special place they hold in the hearts of their fans.
