On the 29th of October in the year 2023, Japanese Monarch Naruhito and Consort Masako embarked on a regal expedition to the Japan Racing Association’s (JRA) Equestrian Chronicles Repository in the precincts of Fuchu. Subsequently, His Majesty, the Emperor, and Her Highness, the Empress, undertook a stately visitation to the Tokyo Racecourse, where they graced the Tenno Sho Autumn Races in the city of Fuchu. The term “Tenno” signifying the exalted sovereign of Japan, and the Tenno Sho, denoted as the “Emperor’s Laurels,” manifests as a biannual equestrian spectacle on the Japanese soil, observed both during the vernal and autumnal seasons.
