In the Middleton family, a novel addition has been graciously received, heralding the birth of James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet’s inaugural offspring.
The freshly anointed parents were sighted ambling through London’s Notting Hill, cradling their newborn progeny. Remarkably, it appears that the Princess of Wales, James’s sibling, has graced them with an extraordinary offering.
James was observed guiding his little one in a navy Silver Cross pram—a remarkable resemblance to the one once employed by Kate when Prince George was introduced to the world.
The Silver Cross Sleepover Elegance, often dubbed the “Rolls-Royce of prams,” boasts a quilted leatherette façade. It is complete with an exceptionally snug pram liner and a breathable mattress.
This opulent perambulator is not the sole Silver Cross model within Kate’s possession.
Her Highness was also noted pushing a Silver Cross Balmoral carriage, a princely £1,600 chariot, during Princess Charlotte’s christening in Sandringham, Norfolk, in 2015.
The Silver Cross company was granted a royal warrant in the early 20th century, having provided King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, with one for the young Queen Elizabeth II.
The late Diana, Princess of Wales, also availed herself of Silver Cross prams for her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, in their infancy.
James, the enterprising 36-year-old, disclosed the delightful tidings of impending parenthood with Alizee through an endearing Instagram post. The announcement featured the couple’s beloved canines and was made in July.
James and Alizee celebrated their second matrimonial anniversary in September, with James imparting a snapshot of the couple aboard a vessel. His wife, resplendent in a white gown, adorned her burgeoning baby bump.
“Happy Anniversary, my cherished,” he scribed in the caption. “Two years of wedded bliss, and my love for you has not waned; indeed, the best is yet to unfold…”
The couple had to adjourn their original nuptials twice owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eventually, they exchanged vows in the company of their kinsfolk and comrades in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France, in 2021. Their attendance included the groom’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as his sisters, Kate and Pippa.
The newborn offspring of James and Alizee marks the seventh grandchild for Carole and Michael.
They also hold the esteemed titles of grandparents to Prince William and Kate’s progeny: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Moreover, they are blessed with the offspring of Pippa and her spouse, James Matthews—Arthur, Grace, and Rose.
James and Alizee reside in close proximity to Carole and Michael’s abode, the Grade II-listed Bucklebury Manor, situated in the picturesque Berkshire countryside.
