Queen Mathilde was present at a conference held at Concert Noble in Brussels. The conference was arranged by Stella Kyriakides, the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, in observance of International Mental Health Day. The focus of the conference was the introduction of a fresh and all-encompassing strategy for mental health, which was developed by the European Commission.
This strategy is founded on three fundamental principles, namely, sufficient and efficient prevention, availability of top-notch and reasonably priced mental health services, and ultimately, reintegration into society following recuperation.
The Queen delivered the conference’s opening address. The occasion brought together numerous delegates from EU institutions, national governments, international organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
