Earlier this month, the Prince and Princess of Wales resumed their royal duties, and one of their initial joint engagements involved a visit to a forest school. Prince William and Kate, aged 41, accompanied children and staff at Madley Primary’s Forest School in Hereford to observe how outdoor education is emphasized in the school’s curriculum.
During their visit, the couple actively participated, joining the students around a campfire, engaging in log-sawing activities, and exploring wooden dens. There was a light-hearted moment when Kate playfully scolded her husband, William, for unintentionally disassembling one of the structures. In response, amidst laughter, William carefully reassembled the branches and humorously remarked that he wanted to return to ensure it remained intact.
For the past 12 years, the Prince’s Duchy of Cornwall and Madley Primary School have collaborated on the Forest School initiative. The Duchy provided Madley Primary School with a wooded area at Brampton Hill Wood, enabling the Forest School to operate in Hereford. Following King Charles’s ascension to the throne in September 2022, William took on the role of managing the Duchy estate.
Additionally, the Prince and Princess visited We Are Farming Minds, a charity dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of farmers in rural communities across the county.
Just last week, William undertook a two-day individual trip to New York to promote his Earthshot Prize. During his visit, he partook in an early morning run in Central Park.
In the meantime, on the previous Monday, Kate had an opportunity to try her hand at flying and had quite the surprise when she inflated a life jacket while visiting the Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton in Somerset.
On the Tuesday of the previous week, she paid a visit to Streets of Growth, a youth intervention charity located in East London.
