During their summer vacation, the Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their children – ten-year-old Prince George, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte, and five-year-old Prince Louis – are enjoying the school holidays. As a customary practice, before the young royals return to school in September, Prince William and Kate are expected to participate in a tradition. They will likely join King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle in the upcoming weeks. This residence, which belongs to the King in Scotland, is currently closed to the public. In past years, various family members have been seen arriving at Aberdeen Airport, which is situated an hour’s drive away from the castle. While it’s not confirmed whether William and Kate took their children for an overseas summer vacation this year, they have previously traveled to destinations like Jordan and the Caribbean island of Mustique during the summer break.
The family consisting of five members has also taken pleasure in stay-at-home vacations on the Isles of Scilly located near the coast of Cornwall. In 2020, William, Kate, and their young offspring were seen riding bicycles on Tresco Island. This island is unique among the five inhabited ones as it is privately owned.
During the school breaks, the Prince and Princess usually choose to stay at their residence in Norfolk, known as Anmer Hall.
Recently, Kate was observed among the attendees of the Houghton Festival, which occurred last weekend. This festival was held at Houghton Hall, a nearby estate owned by their acquaintances, David Rocksavage and Rose Hanbury, who hold the titles of the Marquess and Marchioness of Cholmondeley.
At the same time, it is anticipated that William will be following the World Cup final on Sunday, witnessing the match between the Lionesses and Spain.
The Prince shared a post on the social media platform X, previously referred to as Twitter, after the England team secured a 3-1 win against Australia in the semi-finals held on Wednesday.
He expressed, “An extraordinary display by the @Lionesses – heading to the final! Sympathies to @TheMatildas, you’ve showcased exceptional performance and served as wonderful co-hosts for this World Cup. W.”
King Charles also expressed his backing through an individualized communication to Sarina Wiegman’s squad. In his message, he conveyed, “My spouse and I, along with our entire family, extend our heartfelt felicitations to the formidable Lionesses for securing a spot in the World Cup final. We also extend our sincerest well wishes for Sunday’s match.
“While your triumph may have come at the expense of the splendid Matildas’ opportunity for the ultimate accolade in the sport, both teams have served as a source of motivation both on and off the field – and, in recognition of this, both nations stand together in pride, esteem, and deference.”
He concluded the communication with his distinctive royal monogram, Charles R.
