Prince Louis, the youngest son of Prince and Princess of Wales, celebrated his fifth birthday on Sunday 23 April. The young prince has been stealing hearts since he was born, and has been growing up in the public eye.
In celebration of his milestone day, adorable photos of Prince Louis were released. The photos show him in a wheelbarrow, enjoying the outdoors with his mother, the Princess of Wales. The photos were taken by Millie Pilkington, a well-known photographer who has worked with the royal family before. Pilkington was also the private photographer at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding in 2011. She is known for her stunning portraits of babies and children.
In the photos, Prince Louis looked every inch the stylish royal toddler. He wore a smart £75 ‘Fairisle Wool Jumper’ from Lallie London, layered over a crisp white shirt with a delicate chequered print. He paired his jumper with sweet blue chino shorts and black loafers. His beaming smile added to his charming appearance.
Interestingly, the Pricness of Wales has also been seen wearing a Fairisle jumper, a £179 cream knitwear from Holland Cooper, on several occasions, particularly over the festive season.
For those who are hoping to purchase a Prince Louis-inspired Fairisle jumper for their own little prince, they will have to wait. Lallie London is currently only accepting pre-orders of the smart knitwear. However, John Lewis offers a lookalike for £14, woven from a cosy blend of materials including merino wool – a must-have for the colder months of the year.
Over the past year, Prince Louis has been spending more time in the spotlight. He joined the royal family for the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel at Windsor earlier this month and waved to the crowds on Christmas Day as the party walked back from church to Sandringham House. He is also expected to join his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, at the coronation of King Charles III on 6 May.
Prince Louis is growing up quickly, and we can’t wait to see more of him in the future.
