Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been making headlines again after making a loved-up appearance in LA on Monday night. The couple watched the LA Lakers take on the Memphis Grizzlies, with Meghan looking incredible in tiny pink shorts, which she teamed with a matching oversized blazer, a white T-shirt, and nude heels. Meanwhile, Harry dressed down in jeans, a blazer, and trainers.
The couple seemed to be in high spirits at the event and were caught on the jumbotron sharing sweet exchanges and laughing. At one point, they could be seen putting their heads close together as they giggled away, with Meghan then reaching out to touch her husband’s arm.
The date night came hours after Meghan made a surprise appearance in a video tribute for her close friend Misan Harriman. Misan is a long-time friend of Meghan’s, and he has been called on by the Duke and Duchess to document some of their most personal moments, from the announcement of Meghan’s second pregnancy to the first official solo portrait of their daughter Lilibet, captured during the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
With that in mind, Meghan filmed a short introduction for Misan ahead of a recent Ted talk, in which she spoke about their special bond.
In a matter of days, Prince Harry will be flying back to London to attend the coronation of his father, King Charles. However, Meghan and their children are remaining at home in Montecito, with the coronation falling on the same day as son Archie’s birthday.
At the weekend, Meghan took the step of issuing a statement regarding her decision not to attend the coronation. An article in the Daily Telegraph stated that one of the reasons that Meghan wasn’t going to the royal coronation was that she was left “unsatisfied” by King Charles’ response when she raised issues of unconscious bias within the Royal Family. It was claimed that Meghan wrote to the then Prince of Wales following her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
Responding to the article, the Duchess of Sussex’s spokesperson told HELLO!: “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.”
Despite the ongoing drama surrounding the Royal Family, Meghan and Harry seem to be putting it all behind them and focusing on their family and their relationship. Their loved-up appearance at the LA Lakers game and Meghan’s tribute to her friend Misan Harriman show that they are moving forward and finding happiness together.
