On the second day of the event, Kate, aged 41, exuded elegance as she arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club (AELTC).
Kate carried a small white bag and opted to wear her raven locks down, showcasing a polished look.
Despite the drizzle, Kate maintained a cheerful demeanor and was seen smiling under a large umbrella as she changed her location from her seat.
Subsequently, the royal was spotted in the royal box, where she shared joyful moments with former Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer. Together, they displayed radiant smiles.
Kate joined in with the audience’s applause as Federer was welcomed to the royal box.
In the previous month, the Princess emphasized the significant role played by the Ball Boys and Girls of Wimbledon while participating in a doubles match alongside the eight-time Wimbledon champion.
Tennis holds a special place in the Princess’s heart, a sentiment shared by numerous members of the royal family.
In the royal box, Kate was accompanied by individuals from the late Queen Elizabeth II’s family, including Prince Michael of Kent, Lady Gabriella Kingston (his daughter), and her husband, Thomas Kingston.
The royal box also welcomed former British prime minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha Cameron, who is a renowned fashion designer. David served as the prime minister from 2010 to 2016, while Samantha established her own womenswear brand, Cefinn, in 2017.
The Princess expressed her enthusiasm for her visit through a tweet, stating: “The first week of Wimbledon is truly incomparable. It was fantastic to be among the spectators cheering for @katiecboulter on Court 18 and @andy_murray on Centre Court.”
In the previous year, Prince William and Kate introduced their eldest child, Prince George, to the excitement of Centre Court, as they all watched the matches together from the royal box.
Recently, the Prince, who will turn ten on July 22, had an enjoyable day with his father, bonding over a game of cricket at Lord’s.
Kate has been a devoted attendee of Wimbledon even prior to her marriage to Prince William in 2011, rarely missing the tournament.
In 2013, she was unable to witness Andy Murray’s first Wimbledon triumph due to her advanced pregnancy with Prince George.
During an interview for the BBC documentary Our Wimbledon in 2017, Kate revealed, “I was heavily pregnant with George, so attending wasn’t possible.”
Sue Barker responded, saying, “But you had an excellent reason!”
Kate further remarked, “I understand, but even so, I felt like I was there in spirit… I thought, ‘Maybe I could attend,’ but the doctors were adamant that it wasn’t a possibility.” She expressed her apologies to Andy Murray through a letter, acknowledging her absence and offering heartfelt congratulations.
Fortunately, both William and Kate had the opportunity to witness Andy’s second Wimbledon victory in 2016 when he competed against Milos Raonic from Canada.
In 2016, the Princess assumed the role of patron of the AELTC, taking over from the late Queen Elizabeth II. Over the years, she has had the privilege of presenting trophies to the champions of the Men’s and Ladies’ finals.
Kate, who has demonstrated her tennis skills during various public engagements, reportedly received tennis lessons at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in Fulham.
